One of the main reasons why we clear-cut trees and tear up the ground, is because they, the trees, the ones being violated, cannot speak for themselves. So we take advantage of this, we use this power we have, to get what we want, and destroy them, simply because they are worth more to us lying down with their limbs ripped off, than standing tall, in their beauty and Natural Might... The same goes for our Mother, the Earth. She cannot defend herself, She cannot fight back, and She depends on us, as She has for thousands of years, to give back to Her, to be treated as a Sovereign, a Sacred part of Our Existence, and as it was in the Beginning, Our Mother Earth fed us, and we showed our Appreciation by not abusing Her, and not taking more than what was needed. The Spirit Plate is a perfect example: The Oldest person at the dinner takes a plate and puts a little bit of everything on it that they are going to be eating, a piece of bread, one strand of spaghetti, etc... He/She then takes this plate and goes outside and in Solemn Prayer, offers it to the Spirits and to Creator, while everyone inside the building is still standing in Honor of this Offering. The person then comes back inside, with everyone still standing ~ in silence ~ and sits down where he was placed, and then everyone else follows suit, and the meal can begin. Compare this little Prayer/Offering, which was done as often, with Love, as possible, to the way we trash the Earth, our Mother, either by pouring out our refuse of fracking (highly toxic wastewater) into our Oceans, or the spilling of our pipelines, which is so close to being deliberate that it is criminal, simply because big business KNOWS that they will fail at some point, or the spraying of toxic chemicals from planes, or Monsanto, the giant, sickening entity of the People, or Big Pharma, abusing us all to no end... The list of poisons, acts of aggressions towards us, the People, towards Mother Earth is also endless, and we all know this by now... So do we expect anything less than retaliation, from either the enlightened ones, from the Animals in the Forests or in the Oceans, or Mother Earth Herself? She has had just about enough, and our abuse of Her to our own ends has been going on for just about LONG ENOUGH... Mother has had just about ENOUGH with All Her Children.
