One of the many reasons I love Facebook is finding surprises like this one!!! What a gem for me. This story warmed my heart as my Dad pastored his first full time church in this little mill village in ERLANGER, and the parsonage was one of the mill houses. We moved there right after I was born, 1938, and moved away 1941, and to ALBEMARLE! What a great find for me this morning and to see this history in print that I can cherish. I will plan to see what is going on there around restoration of this culture that was so prevalent all through North Carolina. Thanks, North Carolina Culture for sharing.
