One of the many signs of the coming of Jesus Christ that I have seen being fulfilled today has more to do with apathy than catastrophe. I believe we are the generation of the Lords coming or the rapture of the church. This sign or warning is predominate in every Apostolic church I know of. Heb. 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Absenteeism in our churches are at an all time high. Justified by the smallest excuse members will stay away from the House of God. Due largely to the false doctrines continually being taught from the pulpits to the airwaves that you dont need the church to be saved. Yet Paul said dont forsake or forget the assembling of yourselves even more often as we see the day of promise coming. God blessed Jacob with the revelation of just what Bethel (the house of God) really meant. Gen 28:17 And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven. Here prophetically Jacob called the House of God the gateway to heaven. If you and I are going to walk on streets of gold in eternity, then we had better be faithful to the church. It is impossible to be faithful to God & not faithful to His church. With church attendance at a hit & miss condition, it is no wonder that our members are weak & anemic and will ultimately be consumed by the cares of this life (Luke 21:34) and the powers of hell. I realize there are times that we have to miss church services for legitimate causes. In 2009 I was a sick & shut-in for nearly the entire year. I watched it on the net but it just isnt like being there. To be able attend church is one of lifes greatest privileges. Its a blessing & not a burden. Thank you LTC members for loving God enough to show it by being faithful to Gods house. I hope to see you more often as we see the rapture approaching. God bless!
