One of the most common question is why isnt the eid the same day around the world. And i strongly favour the view that for every land their start and end of the month depends upon their moon sighting by naked eyes, you cannot use telescopic instruments to catch the moon and pull it out. We need to understand, Islaam is for every generation and every place. Our righteous proceeders didnt know that if it was idd the day before in saudiyy or any other place, they based their calculation only on moon sighting and not saudiyy. Only because of advancement of communication and technology we know this. This is so simple to make one understand. It has always been based on sighting of the moon in that land and it shall always be. Yaa ilkhwan hold fast to what Allah and his Messenger صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّم said: and when you see it (the moon) start the month and likewise to end. And Allah knows best.
