One of the most difficult things for people to accept is that Jesus did away with the Law. They will tell you that while it has been fulfilled it has yet to be abolished. Often at times they will tell you the Law will only disappear when heaven and earth disappear. Dear friends. The term heaven and earth is a Hebrew terminology of where God meets man on earth. At the time Jesus mentioned the words heaven and earth he meant the Temple in his day. He made this very clear when he prophesied about its destruction in AD70 when he said heaven and earth will pass away but my words will remain. It is thus most important for us to know this. In AD70 the temple was destroyed by the Romans under the command of Titus. The old heaven and earth hence passed away. Today God lives among his people in a house he built called the temple of the Holy Spirit. It is the temple he has built with Jesus as the cornerstone and us as the living stone. That temple is us.
