One of the most interesting things I find, about being a Christian, is when I observe conversations. We get asked how can you stay faithful to a spouse..all answers point to God. How can we stay being a good person...all answers point back to God. Some Christians are even shocked when they see non-believers being selfless, or treating people kindly. I heard a pastor say, the other day; You dont need to be a Christian to be a good person. He probably got that from the bible(Its in there). There are many non-believers who are faithful to their spouse. They dont cheat. Many of them never divorce. Many Christians who do the opposite. There are many non-believers are upstanding and very moral people. Many Christians who do the opposite. And use their salvation as an unlimited get out of hell free card. Many non-believers who use their time to help people and give to everyone. Sometimes we as Christians help others that are only in our Christian sphere. We limit our help to other Christians, our spiritual leadership, and our families. Thats a Pharisees mindset. Who Outside your sphere are you SACRIFICING to help? Who are you inconveniencing yourself for? When you are tired after work, or when its hot outside? Its great that you serve in the church. But what are you doing AS the church? Being a Christian doesnt mean that you need God to be a faithful spouse, a good/moral person, or help people out. Being a Christian means that you are without excuse from being able to do it.
