One of the most talented performers in the Chippewa Valley contacted us yesterday, angsting about monologue and rock song selections for her SUPERSTAR audition. If this powerful woman is nervous, there must be others of you who are unsure of what to do! Please dont make this scary or nerve wracking! The intention isnt to stress you out. The intention is to give you an opportunity to show us your range and strengths as a performer. Regarding the rock song, we suggest you choose something you love to sing, have fun with it, and show off your fabulous voice! Rock out! Ideas for women include Pat Benatar Stevie Nicks, Linda Ronstadt, Grace Slick, and Tina Turner, but select whatever speaks to you. You may sing a cappella or with piano accompaniment (remember to bring your sheet music if you require accompaniment). Regarding monologues, you are welcome to select your own one minute dramatic piece. If preparing a monologue is brand new territory for you, dont fret. We will provide a few options for you to choose from. We will have monologues available at the Main Street Box Office this Friday, January 24 from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM, or Saturday, January 25 from 2:00 PM - 7:30 PM.
