One of the popular disinformation campaigns that comes up whenever discussing the brutality of Islam is this particularly interesting piece of propaganda that Islam made some great contributions to science. Finding accurate information is difficult, and often requires going to OLD research. I checked out this information from the 1902 Encyclopedia. The famous Ninth Edition (1875-89) of the Encyclopaedia Britannica is widely known as the Scholars Edition for its high intellectual standards. The Tenth Edition of the Encyclopaedia Britannica (1902-03) reprinted all the volumes of the Ninth Edition and added further volumes to update the encyclopedia to the early 20th century. Taken together, the articles of these two editions of the Britannica (presented here by 1902 Encyclopedia) constitute a authoritative reference library on every aspect of human knowledge. Here is what the 1902 Encyclopedia has to say about Islams contribution to science: 1902encyclopedia/M/MOH/mohammedanism-13.html I would love to poke more fun at them, but it is enough to note that they probably had a contribution to mathematics, alchemy and superstition.
