One of the runs from whitewater class Friday, with one instructor, two students besides me, three on safety, all of us from Oklahoma. At the end of the video, you can see a large rock across the river just before we all eddy out, (pull off to the side in slower current.) Behind that rock was a passage between two other large rocks with current that would try to drive a boater into the rocks. So the trick was to face upstream at an angle, paddle, ferry into position behind the large rock, execute a 180 turn, run between the two rocks and into the following unseen rapids. After the turn, I cleared the left rock wide enough such that it doesnt appear in the video. Im not fit enough! The first half day of scouting, drills and river running kicked my rear.
