One of the saddest things I see is pure self gratification and even excuses disguised with wit and catchy wording to look like wisdom. I can understand saying or writing something you dont fully grasp yet or that you may look back at and think that wasnt it but there is a difference between trying to know something and sharing that point of knowing, and just patting yourself on the back and using pretty words to cover it all up. It is the same concept as junk food. Make it look good, shove it in their face, let them deal with the obesity and heart disease-I have what I want [the money/gratifacation/excuse to continue doing the easy thing or to not have to think about it due to validation] the rest is for everyone else to deal with. Worse yet, you end up eating your own crap as soon as you convince others to eat it too and it might feel good now but the health of the people around you will directly impact yours. There is enough crap information going around. Im not just talking about a thing being published or peer reviewed, I mean the actual quality of a thing, not the boxes that need to be ticked off. Believe it or not its a type of pollution, just because we cant as easily see the direct link our environment and the input we receive has on our minds and then our lives, bodies and feelings, doesnt mean it isnt harmful to us and our community. Please always question what you hear read or see, even if its just to yourself. Even more so, if youre asked a genuine question please dont take it as an insult or attack instead try to answer as honestly and from the heart (not the emotions!) as you can, even if that answer is I dont know.
