One of the saddest things about the current political environment is the nastiness that we see every day. Gone, it seems, are the days where people could accept each others differing opinions, without abuse. The beginning of this polarisation and division in the community is found in the Howard years. But now that Howards "attack dog" is Leader of the Opposition we have sunk to new lows..... It is reported that ex-Howard minister Peter (everywhere ) Reith suggested tonight (The Drum) that " If I were her (Gillard) I would go and slit my throat". He went on to suggest that Rudd should shoot himself. Am waiting for confirmation of the exact words used......but am told that the above is pretty close. This must stop.
