One of those life changing records. I bought my first copy, an import on Virgin at the Record Bar in the Milcreek Mall in Erie (I think John Doran has that copy now) the week prior to the Warners US release. Had tickets for the no-show at the Leona in 78. (I also I had tix for the mid-90s reunion show at IC Light but they didnt show for that gig either.) I finally, bought the Warners pressing at Mind Cure about 2 years ago. In the day this record sounded so radical. After the advent of hardcore, it sounds like an aggressive rock record to my ears. But its pretty perfect, nevertheless.
