Henry Gross was the guitarist for Sha Na Na, and was the youngest person to play the main stage at Woodstock (18), and after he left the group, he did some very fine guitar playing and songwriting. It was his peculiarly bad luck that his huge hit ballad Shannon (about a dead dog) turned him into something of a one-hit wonder, though he has written songs for other artists that have done rather well.
