One outrage bled into another in Missouri this week, as protesters from around the country began their planned “Weekend of Resistance” in honor of Michael Brown, days after the shooting of another black teen in St. Louis sparked another round of escalated protests. On Friday, advocates from around the country flooded into the Ferguson area to protest police brutality and racism near the site of Michael Brown’s death. In one of the most visually striking statements, protesters carried a coffin covered in cracked mirror. After marching with the coffin in a formation akin to a funeral, protesters held the mirror side up to the line of police, so that they saw their own image reflected. (via Think Progress)
