One segment in todays episode of Failon Ngayon shows the badness of video games to children (kailan pa bang na-portray ang video games in a positive light dito sa pinas?) which was comical to say the least. It highlighted some fringe cases of casual gamers literally killing each other over a game, perhaps to emphasize the inherent evil that is present in video games. Meanwhile, in every day of our lives we witness the violence inflicted upon us by the reactionary State, either through direct or indirect means. And they want us to believe that theyre doing their brand of exploitation and oppression is for our own good! The only time video games are bad is when the so-called president plays them while working as our so-called leader. Maybe, just maybe, the joy that he found while playing a racing game in his publicized visit to New York is the same kind of happiness that he and his gofers find in swerving the country in his laughably fraudulent Daang Matuwid.
