One thing I know for sure, when you try to manipulate to build your business by stealing leads, taking enrollership that does not belong, enticing others to cross recruit or resign in your coding legs to take away from your upline it speaks volumes about your integrity to your team and those watching. In the short term it may make sense to you but in the long term its much harder to rebuild a tarnished character than to rebuild a business.
