One thing close to my heart is TOYS FOR TOTS If you would take a moment to read this Im hoping it will open your heart to the purpose TOYS FOR TOTS was created..THANK YOU “ A CHRISTMAS DREAM “ Oh Christmas morning how long I’ve waited, for you to come to me, I’ve been real good, I’ve said my prayers, it wasn’t easy because I’m only three. But my Mommy and Daddy told me…if I was really, really good, Santa Claus would visit my house, and bring me presents if he could. I’ve tried so long and so very hard, to be the best that I could be, Now...at last it’s Christmas morning, and I’m running to look under my Christmas tree! Okay Mommy…Okay Daddy, where are they? Where did Santa Claus put my toys? I KNOW I made his Christmas list, with all the other good girls and boys. But…why Mommy and Daddy? Why did he forget? I was so very good… and I tried with ALL MY MIGHT, To do ALL the things I was supposed to do, so Santa would visit me last night. No….I DON’T UNDERSTAND, I had HOPED and DREAMED, How could Santa Claus forget??? Why must I wait again until next year? He has never been here yet. Okay Mommy and Daddy…if you both do… I will try not to cry any more, But do you think…if I’m real good again next year, Santa will visit me when I am four???? I wrote this poem in hopes it would stir emotions and motivate people to help support the “Toys For Tots” drive and make the Christmas dreams of many children come true. Even when we have little...we need to give to those who have nothing, hoping that the spirit of Christmas giving will spark their hopes for a better tomorrow. Written by: Carolann V.
