One week ago, October 25th, 2014, we brought home this little goof ball from the St Louis Pet Expo through the agency 4 Paws 4 Rescue. Not much was known about Sawyer (then Puma) as she was a very recent rescue. She was saved from a Springfield, MO animal control center and was hours away from being put down. Not because of her health, or temperament, but because there was just no more room. The wonderful people at 4 paws 4 Rescue saved Sawyer and took her into their care. Days later, they prepared her for the St Charles Pet Expo event where we fell in love with her right away. Deciding on a week long trial adoption, we took her home with us where we learned so much about her and ourselves as pet owners in a few short days. In less then a week she was house trained and quickly picked up on the sit command. She enjoys chewing, fetch, and definitely treats. Today, we finalized her adoption and received her papers. Shes is ours to keep, ours to train, and ours to love. She is a sweet, smart cookie and we are so happy of the decision we made of bringing her home.
