Mental illness and drug addiction are not crimes, certainly not things that deserve to be punished with death. The saddest thing is so many of these deaths are preventable, all itd take is proper drug regulation instead of leaving things to the random and volatile nature of prohibition that mean users can rarely be fully sure just what theyre taking. No wonder so many get poisoned or overdosed. There are more reasons than this as to why drug liberalisation makes sense.
