One wonders, since when did Marx and his ideological disciples appropriated to themselves the exclusive prerogative to represent the dispossessed all over the world? We need to ask, what has been their contribution to the humanity in the last whole century since the Bolshevik revolution in 1917? Was it the Slavic imperialism in Russia; or the Han imperialism in China; or do the champion the despicable authoritarian models as found in Castro’s Cuba and Mugabe’s Zimbabwe; or perhaps their stellar ‘success’ in Central Asia in the form of Nazarbayev’s totalitarian Kazakhstan and Islam Karimov’s Uzbekistan which must be replicated all over the world? Their approach hasn’t been any different from that of a smug self-righteous mullah, who stands on a pulpit and sermonize the victims of structural injustices that milk and honey would flow in the other-worldly Marxist paradise. Actions speak louder than words; if you have a theory, set an example by implementing it somewhere; and if there is merit in your theory, the rest of the world will follow suit. The goal of establishing a classless society as espoused by Marx is a lofty goal indeed, but Marx’s Darwinist sociological understanding has been primitively reductive, at best. So please, don’t lecture us on your dogmatic Stalinism and equally bigoted Trotskyism; to us, you are the manifestation of the same white savior complex which ruined and destroyed our region: at times in the form of Soviet invasion of Afghanistan and at times as a chain-reaction to the Original Sin.
