One year again today Steve had his stroke, a very painful anniversary for his wife and children and of course Steve himself whos life has changed beyond all recognition in those 365 days. There have been some days full of hope where Steve has managed to move a thumb or twitch his toes, there have also been many of immense sadness and often utter devastation as the extent of Steves condition has become more and more apparent. Plans are now being put together to enable Steve to return home, he remains locked in and almost fully dependant on his ventilator and so this will be a mammoth task for Steve, Michaela and the boys and also the many care assistance who will be put in place, 24 hours a day, to look after Steve. He is desperate to come home and be back around the family he adores. The Halcyon Trustees continue to be overwhelmed by the outpouring of donations and events and activities being undertaken to raise money for Halcyon Trust for Steve Walsh. All of the proceeds are in trust for Steve for such a time the experts confirm that it is the right time to purchase a device to enable Steve to communicate - his ability to speak appears to be in a better state then first thought and so we have been asked by the experts to be patient whilst they ascertain which device would suit Steve for the maximum benefit. Today we send out love and strength to Michaela, Sam and Matt and above all to Steve, such a special much loved man who will soon be back where he belongs.
