One year ago today I adopted my first Trikke. I couldnt ride it, but I was determined to learn! Today I celebrated this Anniversary with my longest ride to date: 19.31 miles! We were traveling thru NY so I had to be an LSM of one. (My DH joined me for a few miles on his roller-blades.) The trail is called Heritage Trail (aka Orange Heritage Trail) and is near the NY Thruway. The only mistake we made was parking in lovely town of Monroe, NY. It turns out that the ride is a 3% decline from Monroe. The ride back was a slow, steady INCLINE that seemed endless!!! Nonetheless, I made it!!!! Thanks to Norman, Jamie and Trent who helped and encouraged me when I first started out! Also, thanks to Fred gave me great instruction on hill climbing when I attended the Riding Clinikk last November, and Shelly who extended that help this Spring. The Trikke Community ROCKS!!!!
