One year ago today I landed in Detroit after a 75 hour, six-airport, four-country journey from hell, highlighted by Russian food poisoning and a cramped cabin shared with the Kazakh Olympic team, all of whom had IBS. After my time in Israel/Palestine, I had no idea where my next home would be, and I never thought it would be Detroit; this was just another layover. I could not be more proud to call this incredible city home, and Im looking forward to many more years in Motown. #sappy
