One year ago today, I packed what I could in my little Chrysler Sebring and hit the road to start my new life in Denver, Colorado. The divorce was filed, the house was sold and I was going to start a new chapter. I left with the intention of finding a job and home, come back to California within a week to move everything and say goodbye to my family. I found an amazing job, found a great luxury apartment but wouldnt return to California to even properly say goodbye to my parents. Now that I look back, I guess I was running away from my past and my life I had in California. I began to change, got rid of my simple Sebring and bought the shiniest, biggest Cadillac I had always wanted. I changes my attitude and demeanor. Six months after living in Denver, I realized I moved for the wrong reasons. It was time for me to wake up. I am now happier in my life then I have ever been, I have discovered true love in one amazing woman that loves and accepts me for me and not for what I can buy her, I have learned forgiveness and love from family goes a long way. Most importantly, I have learned that when you believe and have faith in God that all things are possible. I haven been to the top of the mountain and have been knocked to the bottom. Now, well now I am just fine with being right in the middle, full of love and happiness. Its not about the money you have in the bank, the car you drive or the fancy clothes you wear. We cant take any of that with us in the end. Live each day humbled and appreciative of what God has granted you. I know that my perspective of life sure has changed.... Have a great day...
