One year ago today I pick up a quarter horse gelding named Cody. I was fostering him with potential to adopt . Cody soon had his named changed to Peter Sam , the new name comes from a dream my mom had with a pony named Peter Sam . When I got Peter I kept thinking about my Toby who had pasted a month earlier and how I got so lucky to get an amazing horse after losing a horse of a lifetime . Peter had big hoofs to fill be very quickly proved himself to be amazing . Peter brought me to my trainer Janine Campeau Ewald who trained him with his old owner Francene McGerty Lewis ;both these woman have been so nice to me. After being able to find out more of his past life was great for me to see how to carry on with him . Janine told me about gymkhana which I knew of but only did in my barn , never competing . We trained Peter up and showed last summer and got fifth in my division . A great accomplishment for he and I who only knew each other a short time. Since having him hes my new base horse , a horse I can trust and know he can get any job done . Im so happy I took that step to getting him and didnt just look him over. Everybody who meets Peter falls in love with him from his personality and being so well trained. I love you Peter happy one year , I hope many more to come ❤
