One year ago today, a young woman changed my life by giving me one of the most intimate gifts I have ever received, this gift was right up there with my marriage to Vivian, and the gifts of my childrens births. Jillian Elizabeth actually gave me the gift of life by her selfless gift of my new kidney Jack. Even one year later I am still amazed that there was absolutely no hesitation on her part whatsoever. I know first hand that this was not a gift given lightly, it took a great deal of consideration, I know this because making the request that friends and family be tested to see if they were a potential donor was not made lightly either. Jillian Elizabeth I love you more than I can express, I love that you literally will be a part of me for the rest of my life. I hope you enjoy our surgical anniversary as much as I will.
