One year ago today, my mom passed away, so I want to dedicate this post to her. At her celebration of life, a family member gave us a newspaper clipping done by the Times Colonist, October 30th 1969. The article was of my mom standing inside of The Fairmont Empress where she she was working for several years. My brother, sister and I were in awe when we got this. For one, we had no idea this news-clipping even existed and secondly neither of us knew she had worked at the Empress Hotel. She was only 23 in this photo! Love you mom!
