One year ago today our lives changed forever due to the poor decision of an unlicensed driver who turned left in front of Brandon as he went straight through a light on his motorcycle. What a rollercoaster of emotions we were experiencing last year after receiving the fateful phone call everyone fears. With not knowing whether he would even survive we began this long journey on a plane to CA on July 14th, our 29th wedding anniversary. We were initially told he was so bad they debated on even trying to save him, followed by daily delivery of news ranging from if he survives he will be in a vegetative state to dont read stories of miraculous recoveries giving you false hope. Although hard to get past what medical professionals were saying we chose to remain positive, put our faith in God, and never give up hope. The video shows how far B has come! In addition to drinking by himself today, he also waved his finger at Mom to have her come to his bed asking where he is and why. After answering his questions and giving him information on how close we came to losing him, telling him how long we were in CA and saying how strong he is, Mom sat back down only to be summoned over again. When asked what he wanted, he replied thank you! What more can you ask for?!! Thats our boy, hes still there! He followed that with I love you! Thank you to all who have shown us amazing love and support throughout this journey over the last year. It is why we have been able to be with B to give him the love and care he needs. Ever Forward
