One year ago tonight and almost to the hour forever changed my life. (Long story and one for conversation v/s this way) In some aspects my life was ruined. In others it was a blessing in disguise. My girlfriend at the time decided during an argument (that she started with my children present) that she was going to call 911 and hang up, pretending ti call the cops. Well cops still show up on 911 hang ups. So when they showed up i spoke the truth and a scary truth it was but the truth none the less. I was scared. My kids, my career, my family, my life.... what was gonna happen if they took me to jail? They spoke to her. She couldnt tell the truth for nothing. Six different stories, no clear cut rhyme or reason to her story. And the cops come to me and say one of you has to go to jail.... i said OK... in tears... if Im going lets go... they said no sir, shes gonna go to jail tonight. So that night i left that girl and havent looked back. I have changed careers, am trying to get school started and and in the midst of my restart. Its a bittersweet memory but i choose to make the best of moving on and making a new life. I still have a looong way to go but im gettin there.
