One year today. One year ago today Tracie Thomsen Becker, my sweet wife, was diagnosed with metastatic cancer. But that was a year ago. Since the original diagnosis and subsequent surgery, she has completed 45 weekly rounds (of 52) of chemotherapy and she looks and feels great! Another PET scan is planned in mid-June for now. Our sovereign God has been gracious, good, and kind...and His care to us, especially when we have been vulnerable and weak, is a clear testimony to His faithfulness. The scriptures promise that Jesus came to be with us - and He has! He has surrounded us with His presence and with a community of faith that has loved us and walked with us...and we are so grateful.
