Oneonta Punk- Band of the Day #3: FULL OF HELL If you’ve been paying attention to metal and hardcore these last couple of years, Full Of Hell should be a household name. With experimental and noise-infused “grinding death in the form of hardcore punk” (as the band calls it), the band has been gaining increased notoriety with every tour and release. There are few bands in today’s hardcore scene that draw influence from so many ends of extreme music’s vast spectrum. If classified, Full Of Hell sound right at home alongside grindcore and powerviolence acts such as Napalm Death, Rotten Sound, and Mind Eraser. The band infuses the use of power-electronics to add another layer of discordance to their sound, not unlike the seminal noise/powerviolence project Man Is The Bastard. Alonside various EPs, splits, cassette releases, and two full lengths albums, Full of Hells forthcoming effort, a collaboration with legendary Japanese noise artist Merzbow, is set for release this November via Profound Lord Records. The relentless tour-de-force that they are, Full Of Hell are constantly bringing their unique brand of noise to different ends of the earth. The band are embarking on their first Australian tour this Fall but not before they return to Oneonta for a second time this year, joining their former tourmates Mutilation Rites and Code Orange. You can check out Full Of Hell’s second album “Rudiments Of Mutilation” in full, courtesy of A389 Recordings, linked below. Full of Hell - Saturday 10/25 at Oneonta Punk. oneontapunk
