Online Payroll Stubs We have just received word that Administration is looking at automating the payroll STUB process; specifically this will only affect those employees that have direct deposit. From what we understand the rollout will be sometime this spring, but employees may be asked to set up an “account” online before then. This is like online banking where you get your “statement” online from a secure server rather than getting your pay stubs at the schools. However, if you want physical copies of your pay STUBS, you will be able to print them from your computer. Those employees that still receive physical pay CHECKS will still get them at their respective schools as usual. Although this is a change, the contract stipulates how many pay periods are allowed for the year, either 21 or 26, but it does not put any restrictions on the method of payment. Our guess is that the next phase will be to move to a more electronic format, so we could speculate that everyone may have to move to direct deposit at some point. While we know there are potentially many issues with this, we will push administration to take into account all individual circumstances if this change is contemplated in the future.
