Only 3 more days until The Walk to Defeat ALS. Team Frank V has raised $13,440. Thank You for everyones support and prayers for my Brother Frank and all other Families effected by ALS. Here is everything you need to know about the Walk Day! Also if you have any donations, please being them to me on Walk Day. Thank You Everyone!! The countdown is on! The Long Island Walk to Defeat ALS is this Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Eisenhower Park, East Meadow. Check-in: 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM Opening Ceremonies: 10:30 AM RAIN OR SHINE! CLICK HERE FOR PARKING & DIRECTIONS *We are expecting a record number of participants this year. Please carpool accordingly and arrive early to avoid traffic entering the park!* *REGISTRATION INFORMATION: ONLY TEAM CAPTAINS NEED TO CHECK-IN.* TEAM CAPTAINS: Please coordinate a meeting spot with your team members to collect donations before you check-in at Registration. TEAM MEMBERS: Do not report to the Registration tent. Please arrange to meet with your team captain upon arrival. INDIVIDUALS NOT ON A TEAM: Please check-in at the Individual Walkers table at Registration. Attention Volunteers: We still need volunteers to help out on Walk Day! T-Shirt Fundraising Minimum: T-shirts will be awarded to every Walker who has raised or donated $50 or more. Team Captains, when you check in, you will receive t-shirt tickets for each Walker on your team who has reached this fundraising level. If you have any questions about how to make sure your whole team qualifies to receive a t-shirt, please contact Sarah Pattison at 212-619-1400. Tribute Banner: *New this year* - We will be honoring and remembering everyone we walk for with a Tribute Banner. Please feel free to bring a photo of your loved one and stop by any time throughout the morning to help decorate the banner and celebrate our PALS. PALS/Handicapped Parking – Please contact Sarah at 212-619-1400 or [email protected] for your special parking pass and instructions. T-Shirt Contest: We will be giving out an award for the most creative t-shirt. When your team captain checks in, make sure they find a Walk staff member in order to enter the competition. Refreshments: Enjoy a breakfast of bagels, fruit, and coffee before the Walk and afterwards the festivities will continue with a BBQ and plenty of snacks. Entertainment & Activities: Bring your family and kids! There will be lots of family friendly entertainment for your enjoyment. Button Booth: Please feel free to bring an additional photo of the loved one you are walking for, and you can make a button with their picture at the Button Booth. Fundraising Challenge Reminder: For each $1,000 you raise before Walk Day, you will be entered into a raffle to win a FLAT SCREEN TV! We look forward to seeing you this Saturday!
