Only 72 more days to enjoy a Carls Ice Cream from this well-known Fredericksburg institution...in business since 1947. No, theyre not closing down for good; just their annual hiatus, from the Sunday of the weekend prior to Thanksgiving, until the Friday of Presidents Day weekend. (We could all use a break like that! With a paycheck, of course!) On a day like today --- almost 90 degrees here in Fredericksburg --- its a great treat, and worth the sometimes long line wait. Just another place that makes Fredericksburg great!
