Only 9 days left until National Trails Day, the countrys largest celebration of trails -- and the LA Trail Hikers are celebrating big with a hike through Griffith Park to the infamous Hollywood sign. With over 4,210 acres of both natural chapparal-covered terrain and landscaped parkland and picnic areas, Griffith Park is the largest municipal park with urban wilderness area in the United States. The sign is located on Mount Hollywood which is the highest peak in Griffith Park. The park also boasts a 53-mile trail system.
