Only managed an hour on the canal this evening, the Mallard still to be tested with anything of any size as the catch was disappointing. Three small perch, and I mean small, how a 2 perch can almost swallow a 6 lobworm thats as thick as a pencil is beyond belief. A small bream about 8oz was next and just as I had to go a better perch, but still not the usual stamp. Saturday may be better as looking for some late season tench
