Only someone crazy in love with God, and His children would follow some crazy bearded guy halfway across the globe to try and love one of the most remote, oppressed, and suffering tribes in the world. You arent the average western woman babe, you definitely go against the grain... And are choosing to leave the American dream for a bigger dream, Gods dream for our lives. Emily, remember when you told me that you couldnt ever see yourself going to Congo?!?! Then after you told me you could... I resisted, I doubted, and told you that I thought you couldnt possibly come here. THANK YOU for hurdling all the obstacles (fear, doubt, outside voices, etc) that came your way, me included! Thank you God for leading Emily to this verse, and thank you Emily for showing it to me in time of doubt... But Ruth replied, “Don’t ask me to leave you and turn back. Wherever you go, I will go; wherever you live, I will live. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God. (Ruth 1:16 NLT) I cant wait for these next two months of ADVENTURE with/for/and because of God, with YOU :-)
