Oooh boy I got me the writing bug and its a wickedly controversial subject!!!! People gonna be gettin pissed at me with this one😇 As you sharpen your pitchforks and light your torches just remember fitness family...I say what I say because I love you😘 ... Just read a funny yet insightful blog that picked apart one of the most gag-me-with-a-stick products on the market: Shakeology. pharmadaddy.blogspot/2013/07/shakeology-shaking-up-its-foundations.html?m=1 Why do I use such a negative descriptor? Its a combination of some bad flavors, over-blown marketing claims, and coaches pushing this stuff to pad their wallets. The first time I risked questioning this expensive product to a coach I was surprised to hear this clean-eating vegan say that shako was mana from heaven because its completely natural whole food. HUH? Isnt it a processed powder in a bag? Ok ok I am not a clean eater but I kinda sorta thought processed food alternatives were frowned upon? Then I got in trouble BIG TIME when the company came out with a ridiculous reset program that boasted THE SAME BENEFITS! I asked why someone who is taking shakeo daily and reaping the amazing benefits of that product would need to piss away more money for a program that requires a shit-ton of supplements and restricts you from working out because your body wouldnt be able to handle the strain? That was about the time they stopped talking to me and ended what I thought was a friendship. It also exposes one of the problems I have with MLM companies. If I were saying I really dont like Optimum Nutritions products or MusclePharm protein tastes like a monkeys ass (not that I actually know what that tastes like) no one would bat an eye! Theyd be all like Oh ok you dont like that stuff...but maybe you should stay away from monkeys. If I criticize an MLM product sold by a friend well now its suddenly personal, now Im hurting their bottom line and insulting their beloved do-no-wrong best-kool-aid-ever making company! Its kinda like second-guessing the cult leader to his right-hand man ya know? No matter how innocent or sound your question/opinion may be it doesnt mean squat if it doesnt align with the great leader...or in this specific case...the great company. So PHEW, I did it! I wrote some more of what rattles in my mostly empty head and even jumped into a nasty subject🌈☀️ Im gonna barricade the doors and hide in the basement now in case an angry mob comes my way...
