Oops, we did it again. Every time we have released a major show. First Magical Egypt, then The Great Work, a giant war or global seismic tragedy has occurred. 9-11 happened, and the world fundamentally shifted from a peace time state to a state of perpetual war and terror - literally as the original Magical Egypt series was getting shrinkwrapped and readied for distribution. Then in 2008, EXACTLY as we had reached critical mass and began the rollout of our 6-part series The Great Work, the wall-street banking collapse of 2008 happened and the world was thrown into an economic turnoil from which it has not recovered. So as we consider the resumption of production on more episodes of Magical Egypt, we couldnt help asking ourselves, what horrific catastrophe is going to steal our thunder this time?. How big are they going to go to keep us from having a normal production and premiere? Which one of the many swords of Damacles currently hanging over our heads is going to be the thing that initiates a new apocalypse? Comets colliding with earth? Coronal Mass Ejections? Radiation from the Fukushima meltdown? Uncontrollable Ebola outbreak? The collapse of the Dollar? Civil war and martial law in the US? Or would it be something like an illegal bombing in Syria that will escalate into World War III. If there is any comfort to be taken from todays events, its that Magical Egypt must pose such a threat to the forces of social control that they have to go straight to a catastrophe that is global in scale and import. How far will they go to thwart the introduction of Magical Egypt to the public psyche?
