TESTIMONIES FROM MOUNTAINS Memorise: For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Mark 11:24 Bible in one year: 2 Chronicles 33-36 Message As unpleasant as mountains are, for some people, it will take facing a mountain to move them to their next level. May the mountains that come your way from now onwards bring out the best in you. Usually, while preparing for our conventions, our parishes would send volunteers to clean up the camp before and after the programme. During the preparation for a particular convention, I had been going round inspecting the various aspects of the work being carried out from morning, and it was already evening so I was very tired. As I retired that evening, I gathered my family for a brief prayer; thereafter I went to bed and fell asleep immediately. Not long after, my wife came to wake me and I told her to leave me because I was very tired. Then she said, “One of the volunteers is dead and he is from your village”. When I heard that, I jumped up from the bed, gathered the prayer warriors and we began to pray. After an hour, God said “I thought you said you were tired”. Thereafter, he asked me to release the prayer warriors that it was me He wanted to talk to. In the process of this communication the volunteer came back to life. Moreover, a mountain could be a divine set up for a testimony. When God is about to do the miraculous, He starts with a big problem. Are you facing a big challenge today? Congratulations! God is going to bring out a big testimony from it. Mountains give you an assurance that there is something greater on the other side. In a house where the landlord has just one shirt and one trouser and an old bicycle, there is no need for a fence or gate. This is why several houses in a city like Lagos have no fence, but the houses with great treasures are usually fenced and some, massively fenced. If you visit some of such houses, you would think you are in a prison yard as a result of the several security gadgets and structures put in place. In other words, the presence of mountains in your life shows that God has deposited something precious in you. The more the mountains you face the greater the value placed in you. Stop crying over that big problem! Thank God and ask for it to manifest its good purpose. ACTION POINT Ask God to bring out testimonies from your trials and mountains.
