Open Letter to VVM and SABC: SPAM - Verb: Send the same message indiscriminately to recipients on the Internet. I have received roughly 280 private number calls from VVM about a TV licence that you claim is overdue by R475. I am receiving emails too to which I have answered many times, the exact same story but your incompetent staff do not grasp the fact that I HAVE NO TV, I HAVE NEVER HAD A LICENCE, NEVER WANT ONE. Then the final straw: An SMS from VVM saying (Verbatim) MR N F SMUTS, you are in CONTRAVENTION of the BROADCASTING ACT, further actions may be instituted. Call VVM 0877401212 for your TV lic ref:438991127. Now given that I have not broken the law in any way, not only are your messages and email spam and will be reported to every spam blocking agency out there, but I will be filing a case of Crimen Injuria against both VVM and SABC TV Licencing for appalling incompetence.
