Open Message to the Aussie Colts: To Wayne, Kieran and the entire Aussie Colts team On behalf of the Australian softball community I would like to congratulate you on achieving your first goal of making the playoffs at the World Championships. You have played some fantastic softball throughout the week, building towards success in the playoffs. Many times, you have had your backs against the wall with the game on the line and you have responded so well, particularly in the games against Mexico, Canada and the Czech Republic. It was fantastic to see the game today against the USA, showing that as a team you are a true force to be reckoned with. You should be congratulated for the way that you have played all games so far, with dignity, class, courage and sportsmanship. You are fantastic ambassadors for our country and softball. We are all very proud of you. Good luck tomorrow against Japan. What you have achieved so far is a credit to yourselves and your families, but don’t stop here. Keep playing as a team and grab your opportunities you get. Leave nothing to chance and leave it all on the field tomorrow to get the victory.
