Open call auditions for principle and ensemble roles for Central Florida Community Arts upcoming concert version production of Meredith Willsons The Music Man will take place on Tuesday, May 20 and Friday, May 23, from 7:00pm to 10:00pm. Auditions will take place at the home of CFCArts, which is on the campus of Central Christian Church, 250 SW Ivanhoe Blvd, Orlando, 32804. Please email casting@cfcommunityarts to schedule an audition date/time. Appointments preferred but walk-ins will be seen as time permits. Actors Equity Members are eligible to perform. The roles include: Harold Hill (Age 30-50, Baritone: A flat to High F) Marian Paroo (Age 25-40, Soprano: Low G to High A) Mrs. Paroo (Age 45-65, Mezzo Soprano: A flat to E flat) Amaryllis (Age 8-13, Alto: C to E) Winthrop Paroo (Age 8-13, Alto: A to E flat) Marcellus Washburn (Age 25 to 45, Tenor, G to High A) Mayor Shinn (Age 40-65) Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn (Age 30-60, Alto: D to D) Zaneeta Shinn (Age 15-22) Gracie Shinn (Age 8-13) Tommy Djilas (Age 15-24) Charlie Cowell (Age 30-55) Train Conductor (Age 50-60) Alma Hix (Age 40-55) Maud Dunlop (Age 40-55) Ethel Toffelmier (Age 30-40) Mrs. Squires (Age 40-55) Constable Locke (Age 30-60) All roles are unpaid. During auditions: • Please bring a non-returnable head shot and resume • Prepare16 bars that best shows off your voice • Bring sheet music in your key - an accompanist will be provided. No pre-recorded accompaniment or a cappella auditions, please. Callbacks to be held by invitation on the evening of Thursday, May 29 and may include music and sides from the show. Rehearsals will begin on Monday, June 6 and will continue on Monday and Thursday evenings near Downtown Orlando, with possibly some occasional weekend rehearsals.
