Open call to all firefighters: Never forget, you were trained to IFSTA standards. Type I construction (WTC TOWERS 1,2 & 7) is fire resistive and MAINTAINS ITS STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY DURING A FIRE. Meaning : 1) Resists direct flame impingement 2) confines fire well 3) little to no collapse potential 4) impervious to water damage. Most of the jet fuel ( 4/5ths Kerosene ) was spent on the initial impact explosions and they ignited simple Class A fires ( wood/paper/plastic). Not anywhere near hot enough to make fire steel go molten. Those 343 men that died that day were FOLLOWING THEIR STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES IN THEIR TERRITORY. That is to say that they knew what they were doing because they were very well trained for high rise firefighting. They knew that those towers would not, could not budge. Before 9/11 and ever since there has NEVER been a Type I building collapse without controlled demolition. The three towers in NYC that day are the only exceptions. Pyro physics is a well established science. 9/11 first responders deserve more than hollow praise and hollow patriotism. Those who died in the collapses (free fall speed into their own footprints) , those who died and are dying from the toxic aftermath are worth more than lip service. They and the American people deserve a real investigation. I have 12 years of fire service and a lot of training/certifications under my belt.
