Open letter to Paula: I am furious that we are sending a message that this is OK. I love my community but it is a crying shame when you steal money from kids, then can afford to pay one of the best lawyers that made a deal with the DA but just so happened to be moving from private practice to working for the DA as of this week...having to pay back a portion by last Friday or the deal was a no go...I believe it would have been a conflict of interest to represent someone and work for the DA at the same time I guess now wouldnt it? Then to post on FB that we were unsuccessful in doing anything about it, this is delusional thinking that we did this to get your kids from you. WRONG, we love your kids and helped you fight to keep your children and you know it! Call after call was made on your behalf to help find a lawyer to help keep the kids and you refused to follow up. This has everything to do with you being a liar and a thief and taking from our community and kids and getting away with it without so much as an apology to those you stole from or to those that stood by you even when you were not trying to help yourself. You hurt the very people that loved you and those kids loved you...my own child thought the world of you and you let him down! And now you have the nerve to try and blame us and laugh in our face? I believe that one day everything will catch up with you and it will be a sad day for you and believe it or not, for me too because I personally loved you and would have and did help in anyway I could have prior to you taking what wasnt yours. Am I angry and taking it personal?? Yes I am, you hid behind a facade, fake friendships and trusts to personally benefit from an organization that many of us spent years dedicating our time, hard work and money to make successful and affordable for our children in our community and you single handedly almost brought that to the ground to get off basically with no punishment. It is a slap in the face to all these parents and children that it wont even be on your record...I guess so you can do it again if you so wish.
