Open letter to Virat Kohli Hey Virat, This letter comes from the same fan who always felt you had great talent and dedication, but you had to curb your attitude a bit. You abuse when you get out, you abuse when you score a century. Theres arrogance, ego and all that and I never liked that....... But then theres performance, theres consistency, you marvel under pressure and you have scored 11 centuries while chasing and you have won all 11 for India. Scoring the fastest century by an Indian and chasing down 360 with a few overs to spare and then coming back and scoring a century in 61 balls, third fastest by an Indian and again winning a match chasing down 350 against one of the best ODI teams is simply phenomenal. I am big Dravid fan and then a Sachin fan, I like the calm with which they play and you could call me a fan of the previous generation of players, but just like one needs to get used to the new gadgets and the modern way of living, I think I am now used to your way of playing, expressing and winning. You channel your anger in the right direction and right areas. Coming to your attitude, now that I think of it, I dont think you have to change at all. You are larger than life, when you play such knocks and bring a smile on a billion faces, you dont need to worry about a few who have a problem with your attitude. In the past 2 years you have shown that whatever your attitude might be, it doesnt affect your performance and although most people will say there are other things that are more important and performance is not everything, screw it. Yuvraj once said, if I had the dedication of Kohli, I would be a much better player. So, one day when you would have scored all these centuries and when you hang your boots, you will be remembered as a player who delivered when it mattered and thats the real ATTITUDE one needs to have. - Now a big fan of yours.
