Open letter to my representative: Dear Rep. Tsongas, I have just learned about the Carl Levin and Howard P. Buck McKeon National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2015, and the provisions contained therein for the Apache land to be given to a foreign mining company. Please, do not vote to approve this bill. I realize that the defense authorization act is important, but it cannot be allowed to pass with this rider. We are supposed to have recognized our sins of the past, and learned from them. We are not supposed to repeat them over and over. We need to keep our hands off the tribal territories. This is a monstrous violation, not only of their culture, but of our own honor. If this bill passes it will show us, one and all, to be nothing but greedy thieves. Please, I urge you, vote against this bill.
