Opening Weekend presented by Bank of America, a weekend-long celebration, continues tomorrow when the Dodgers take on the San Francisco Giants in the second game of a three-game series at 1:10 p.m. Interscope artist Robin Thicke will present a pregame performance in center field at 12:40 p.m. All auto and stadium gates open at 11:00 a.m. Fans are encouraged to arrive early and they are utilize the many transportation alternatives that serve Union Station and will connect them to the Dodger Stadium Express, which will operate starting 90 minutes prior to first pitch. The national anthem will be performed by LA native and R&B singer and songwriter RaVaughn. She was discovered by Ne-Yo, is signed to Columbia Records and is nominated for “Outstanding New Artist” by the 2014 NAACP Image Awards. Thicke will throw the ceremonial first pitch and officially begin the game with “It’s time for Dodger baseball!” Actor and longtime Dodger season ticketholder Jason Bateman will serve as honorary PA announcer. Dodger alumni league members Derrell Thomas and Dennis Powell will sign autographs in the left and right field pavilion plaza areas prior to the game. The Veteran of the Game is U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Leo Negrete of San Pedro. Negrete, who enlisted in 1999, trained as a M1 Armor Crewman whose responsibilities included operation of armored vehicles. He is currently serving in the Army reserves with the 809th Quartermaster Detachment at Kirtland Air Force Base as a Petroleum Quality Assurance NCO. Negrete has served deployments in Kuwait and Afghanistan and his accolades include the Global War on Terrorism, the Bronze Star and two Army Achievement Medals.
