Opening night of the book sale at the Nappanee Public Library. Friends of the Library took advantage of a two hour pre-sale, books sold at fifty cents a pound. I got twenty-eight pounds, paid fourteen bucks. Lots of childrens books, as well as Jon Krakauers Under the Banner of Heaven (which Ive read twice and have wanted a copy of), a novel by Harry Turtledove who writes great Alternate History, a little book by Anne Morrow Lindburgh, a biography of Aaron Burr, some audio books, a book of Charles Addams cartoons, the second Harry Potter novel in Spanish, and book Id heard about on NPR concerning the theft of the Mona Lisa. A beautiful Wind in the Willows childrens book about Badgers death. Finished rereading Samuel Becketts Watt tonight. Maybe I can work one of these books in. Fell asleep during the third quarter of the Colts game and decided it was time for bed.
