Opening number of JAM for LUNCH, a NYU Abu Dhabi student music show directed by NYUAD Professor Celina Charlier and Musician in Residence Marcio Miele. This performance was the culminating show from the first part of the 4th edition of “Garage Band meets Chamber Music”, a workshop co-taught by Celina Charlier and Marcio Miele, integrating concepts of classical and popular music, transmitted through written scores, oral tradition and improvisation practices. As the theme for this 4th edition of “Garage Band meets Chamber Music” at NYUAD, we chose songs composed by singer-songwriters from the 20th century. We coached the students on voice technique, instruments technique, interpretation, and arrangement :) With such great students, it has been always a pleasure to do it! :) Celina & Marcio
